This study is intended as contribution to knowledge production that will also fill a gap in literature on the salient and fundamental factors that enabled Dubai’s post-colonial state to be become agile, innovative and responsive to the growing size and scope of activities undertaken by Dubai and by extension the UAE’s public sector institutions. It aims to analyze the influence of organizations’ internal dynamics on project management maturity, (PMM), assessments and how they can change the assessment results. Specifically, it addresses the impact of internal organizational influences, like organization culture, leadership &amp; leadership hierarchy, and emotional stability on the assessments of organization project management maturity. The methodological research approach for this study was a survey of 129 professionals. These professionals represent both manufacturing and service sectors industries that utilize project management extensively. Data were analyzed using multiple regression models with SPSS data processing results show that organization's internal factors significantly influence project management maturity assessments. The internal forces like organization culture and leadership/ leadership hierarchy significantly increase the PMM levels while emotional stability greatly reduces the PMM levels. These results can help upper management to better understand the PMM assessment results while academics can use it to amend maturity models and for conducting a more extensive longitudinal research.</p> Muhammad S Ahmed ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2018-04-04 2018-04-04 13 1 3193 3206 10.24297/ijmit.v13i1.7153 THE USE OF GROUNDED THEORY TO EVALUATE THE INTERACTIVE EFFECT OF FARMER ENTREPRENEUR AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF GHANA <h3>Widely seen is entrepreneurship being a key to competence which is necessary to build-up a developed economy globally. There is a consistent relationship between economic prosperity and entrepreneurial activities which have been confirmed by numerous studies from different theories perspectives at global level. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the effect of farmer entrepreneur and economic development using qualitative research approach where a score of successful entrepreneurs in all transcripts of interviews were analyzed by using the grounded theory. The results revealed that the farmer entrepreneur increased their competence through knowledge, skills and attitude. The "knowledge" results in the entrepreneur being a strategic planner, managing people and use technology. Skills acquired makes him a goal getter and negotiator.</h3> <h3>Finally, he will have a positive attitude toward his work and customers and be proactive and tolerant. Hence, people execute the same process differently and training is conducted by experienced operators on an ad-hoc basis. Furthermore, continuous process improvement is hampered as neither the ideal process nor current issues in as-is processes are visible. A major reason for the missing documentation is the complexity of existing business process modelling languages. Modelling experts are required for initially describing the processes and also for updating the models after process changes. Furthermore, operations people are usually not used to read complex process models in EPCs or BPMN diagrams. In order to overcome these limitations, a domain-specific modelling language which facilitates maintaining up-to-date process models has been designed with a large logistics company in Germany. Organizational culture studies found that an organization that able to maintain and sustain a strong culture, is likely to flourish to higher level of performance. The main stimulus of this study is to diagnose the domain “perceived” type of organizational culture in the insurance industry. Data were collected from n=312 respondents among the seven participating major insurance firms. The measuring instrument Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) is used to diagnose the type of organizational culture. The finding shows that the insurance industry has been dominated by market culture. Hence, the characteristics of market culture on shaping the organization culture and its implication to the organization have been discussed.
