Samra ahsamra@yahoo.co.uk Ahmed Abo-Taleb abtlb@mans.edu.eg <p>The most challenge problem in the Optical Burst Switching (OBS) core nodes is the burst loss due to a contention that occurred among the bursts. Wavelength conversion and deflection routing may be viable methods to resolve the burst contention problem and hence to improve the performance of an optical core switch. This paper proposes an OBS core node model with a combination of a wavelength conversion capability and the deflection routing technique to minimize the burst contention probability. First, the optimum values of adjusting the wavelength conversion capabilities and the level of deflection routing are investigated in a different contention resolution cases. Then, a performance analysis according to the effect of the different number of wavelength channels and variable burst length values has been studied at these optimum values. The performance measurement key is the average burst loss probability that performed by using steady-state occupancy probabilities and Poisson traffic model arrivals. The transmitted pulse is to be shaped and</p> <p>modulated before transmission. The construction of a compressed time domain echo</p> <p>pulsed signal in the receiver is shown to improve the range resolution without side</p> <p>effects on the signal to noise ratio by using a matched filter. Also a particle swarm</p> <p>optimization (PSO) algorithm in the matched filter design is used here for different</p> <p>higher orders of polynomial instantaneous frequency modulation to reduce the</p> <p>sidelobe levels of the autocorrelation function at the output of the matched filter that</p> <p>represent the undesired targets with respect to the main lobe level that represents the</p> <p>desired target in the received echo pulse. Existing way of communication is not much helpful for the deaf and dump people, since existing approach depends upon translator person, who can understand the sign language of the dump and they manually decode their signs and convey the message. The translator may commit some mistakes due to wrong recognition and that limitation could be significantly overcome by using an image acquisition device and processing unit to process the gestures.
